Tip 4 : Shine Through

Warm lighting is a great touch to creating a cosy atmosphere at home. However, it may not be practical to have only warm lighting in your house as sometimes, it could be a little too dim for you to get things done.

So, instead of having to change your light bulbs or having too many lighting options installed in your home, add a nice and warm touch by investing in a lantern or two.

Lanterns are gorgeous and it’s a great element for a cosy home. It lights the space around you just enough, for you to sit back, breathe and relax.

Tip 5 : A String Of lights

If lanterns are not your cup of tea or a dangerous option especially with children or pets living at home, a string of light is a great substitute to create a warm feeling a home.

Fairy lights are a reasonable option that can be hung against a wall or as a backdrop. Your living room or bedroom are some great places for you to add a string of lights or two.

Especially when you feel the need to unwind after a long day, switch on the stereo for some classical music, turn off all other lighting and just leap on your couch of pillows to enjoy the rest of your day.

Tip 6 : Partition With Shelving

Putting up partitions between each room can cut the illusion of a wide space. Hence, leaving your home looking smaller and cramped up.

Wide spaces gives you more space ‘to breathe’, instead of seeing yourself stuck in a room. However, sometimes, to organise your home a little better, you might need to create a partition or two.

So, instead, creating a wall, use a shelf instead. A shelf also gives extra storage space for items such as books, letters and all the small knickknacks at home.

Tip 7 : Display Family Photos

One of the best ways to stay happy is to create wonderful memories, capture them on camera and frame them.

Pictures tell a thousand words and so, tell your personal story by framing some of your favourite pictures that reflect the amazing times you’ve spent with your loved ones.

You could hang them on a wall or display them around the house. These photos are not just decorations but also a great way to make you feel comforted and at ease. So, select some beautiful picture frames that could glam up your house and also remind you about all the happy times you’ve had.

There are many personal touches that you can make, to create a cosy environment for you and your family to live in. If it has been in mind to make some cosy changes to your home, get started rightaway but at the same, don’t rush through it as every moment you take to build your home of comfort, will be a great memory for you to treasure.
